Our Mission

We promote knowledge, collaboration, and excellence in the approach to celiac disease in Latin America.

At LASSCD, we work to strengthen the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of celiac disease across our region. Through a network of committed professionals, we seek to build connections among specialists, institutions, and scientific communities, promoting equitable access to up-to-date information and quality care.



Dissemination of scientific knowledge

We support research and promote continuing medical education on celiac disease and other gluten-related disorders.



Strengthening local capacities

We promote the creation of specialized centers and the improvement of resources for diagnosis and treatment throughout Latin America.



Regional and international connection

We act as a bridge between professionals in the region and ISSCD, encouraging the exchange of experiences, knowledge, and best practices.
